6. Emergencies and Crisis Situations
The App is not monitored as an emergency service.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number. If you are experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, contact an appropriate emergency or crisis service.

7. Community Partners and Resource Listings
The App may display information from nonprofits, businesses, government agencies, healthcare providers, faith-based organizations, independent professionals, and other community partners.
We may review information submitted by a community partner, but an organization’s presence in the App does not constitute a guarantee, warranty, certification, or endorsement of:
Users should independently evaluate a provider before sharing sensitive information, making a payment, signing an agreement, or accepting services. Questions, complaints, and disputes concerning a partner’s services should ordinarily be directed to that partner, although users may also report concerns to us.
Partners must promptly update inaccurate information and notify us of material changes involving their services, licensing, insurance, safety practices, or organizational status.
8. Informational Content
App content and community discussions are provided for general informational and peer-support purposes. They are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.
You should consult an appropriately licensed professional before making decisions involving health, mental health, medication, legal rights, housing, financial matters, benefits, employment, childcare, or personal safety.

You represent that:
We may review, restrict, preserve, or remove User Content when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, address safety concerns, comply with law, protect rights, or maintain the App. We are not obligated to monitor every communication.
10. Photos and Information About Children
Protecting children is a shared responsibility. You may not:
11. Privacy
Our collection, use, retention, protection, and disclosure of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.
Although we use reasonable safeguards, no online platform can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for considering the sensitivity of information before posting it or sending it to another user.
Information posted in a community area may be visible to other members. Private messages may be accessible to authorized personnel when reasonably necessary for safety, technical support, enforcement, or legal compliance, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
12. Intellectual Property
The App, excluding User Content and third-party content, and its design, branding, logos, text, graphics, software, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Shelter From the Rain and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
We grant you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use the App for its intended personal or authorized organizational purposes.
You may not copy, sell, reverse-engineer, scrape, reproduce, modify, or commercially exploit the App or its content without written permission, except as permitted by law.
13. Third-Party Services and Links
The App may contain links to websites, applications, forms, maps, payment services, or other resources operated by third parties. Their terms and privacy practices govern your use of those services.
We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, content, security, availability, or practices. A link does not necessarily mean that we endorse the third party.
14. Reports, Moderation, and Enforcement
You may report concerning content, behavior, partner activity, or suspected violations by using the App’s reporting feature or contacting us at [email protected].
Depending on the circumstances, we may:
Enforcement decisions may be based on available information and do not constitute a legal determination of wrongdoing.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual-property, disclaimer, liability, indemnification, dispute, and governing-law provisions—will remain in effect.
16. App Availability and Changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App. Features and resources may change, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice through the App, by email, or by another appropriate method. The updated Terms will state their effective date.
Where required, we will request your affirmative agreement to updated Terms. Otherwise, continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
17. Disclaimer of Warranties

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Subject to any rights that cannot legally be waived, disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Chatham, County, and each party consents to those courts’ jurisdiction.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking emergency injunctive relief or reporting a matter to an appropriate government agency.
Attorney review note: If Shelter From the Rain wants mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver, those provisions should be drafted separately by qualified counsel and presented through a legally appropriate consent process.
21. General Provisions
These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the agreement between you and Shelter From the Rain concerning the App, unless another written agreement applies to a specific service.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written permission. We may transfer these Terms as part of a merger, reorganization, asset transfer, or similar organizational change, subject to applicable law.
